Lauren Spakowski/Visual Journalist

Hello! 

Lauren Spakowski (she/her) is a multimedia journalist interested in photo and documentary storytelling. As a visual journalist, Spakowski aims to tell the narratives of those who continue to be untold. Her curiosity and passion for intricate human stories have led her down a path of connecting with people in a wide variety of spaces. Her photography is hallmarked by the use of natural lighting, color, and compelling subjects. 

The moments we capture and the stories we tell of others have a long-lasting impact that forever change not only our subjects but ourselves. While she is capable of telling multiple kinds of stories, she is primarily drawn to those discussing mental health, addiction, the LGBTQ+ community, and motivational people. 

When not working, Lauren can be found watching movies, cooking, and spending time with those closest to her.
